This is our new house, in Pukalani. We moved in starting on April 22. Our house is about 1250 feet above sea level.

On a rare day when the summit of West Maui is clear, this is our view looking West. The mountain is just under 6000 feet tall. West Maui's summit is clear more often in early mornings than at times later in a day. This photo is from 7:39 AM.

By 9:40 AM (and on the following day), the clouds are beginning their daily cloaking of the summit. At this later time of day, the sun is at an angle high enough that the clouds cast interesting patches of shadow on the mountain.

This house belongs to our neighbors, Tim and Tracy. The white fence is on the border between our two properties. We think they're trying to compete with Disneyland. No, they're not running a day care. They have two sons, Luke and Logan, who love to play with Tree.
